Having a solid 60 FPS with zero drops may not be possible depending on the mods that you use. Skyrim wasn't optimized to have a buttload of people, thick trees, fancy lighting, grass and scripts all being present at once. Last thing to consider is that these are graphical mods to a game that has limitations. I personally have a GTX 1060 SC and I have a pretty damn good looking game but it comes at the cost of drops into the 30s and I have scaled back on some graphics mods to get it even to that performance. You will absolutely need an upgrade if your resolution is going to be higher than 1080p. It is a viable option if you are willing to make some graphical sacrifices to get 60FPS all the time. That being said, I would get a better card if you are wanting 60FPS all the time with ENB, tree mods, grass, detailed distant terrain. There is no one-click easy super graphics setup. If you really want to make your Skyrim play like all the 'cool YouTube videos' your going to have to be willing to invest a significant amount of time to learn how by reading modding guides. The thing to keep in mind with modding Skyrim is that it is a huge learning process to get it right. I'm not that familiar with Vega cards, but it looks like it is about on par with a GTX 1070.Įven at 1080p resolution I have heard of a GTX 1070 having trouble running really demanding mods with a really detailed ENB.
